A City That's Connected - Making Transit Work for Everyone

Our city’s success depends on a network of reliable, comfortable and seamless transit that reaches every neighbourhood and supports our areas of growth. The residents of Beaches–East York need access to affordable, accessible transit to get to work, school, shopping – everywhere they need to go. And we must spend our dollars wisely for large infrastructure projects, using sound ridership projections and solid cost analysis.

As your Councillor, I will work to:

  • Expedite the planning and construction of the downtown Relief Line.

  • Increase the frequency of bus service on the 24 Victoria Park, 23 Dawes and 92 Woodbine buses and restore the 64 Main bus north of Danforth.

  • Eliminate short-turns.

  • Keep transfers seamless and fares affordable.

  • Make the 404 Community Bus free for seniors and implement the “Fair Pass” program.

  • Expediting the East Bayfront-Waterfront LRT and extending it along Lakeshore Blvd. to Woodbine Beach.

  • Conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the Scarborough Subway Extension and SmartTrack stations with advanced design, cost and ridership projections before final decisions on construction.

  • Expedite the Easier Access Program to make every station and all routes accessible.
